Mary Ellen Dorey's quest for improving the health and vitality of others through the science of aromatherapy began in 1996 when she began studying aromatherapy while working full-time for a multi-billion-dollar retailer, heading up Quality Assurance.  But it was her family's persistent illnesses over her life that sparked her interest in alternative health therapies while at Buffalo State College.  She knew Mother Nature held answers to many of the maladies suffered by her family and others around her.

Capitalizing on her 25-year background in retail management, consumer lab testing, technical design, and quality control, Mary Ellen founded Dorey AromaTherapy in 2009 with a wealth of knowledge and professional experience in working with others.

A certified Clinical Aromatherapist in the European tradition, Mary Ellen founded Dorey AromaTherapy to offer to the public her exclusive proprietary formulations using the purest and highest quality organic and wild-crafted essential oils.  Using pure, authentic essential oils, Mary Ellen researched and tested numerous formulations to create an extensive line of WellCare, BodyCare, SkinCare, and HomeCare aromatherapy products under the Dorey AromaTherapy brand, all designed to achieve optimal health and vitality.

In addition to her clinical grade formulations, she introduced Message In A Bubble™ Bath Fizzies and Gimme Some Sugar Scrubs which garnered rave reviews in New Age Retailer, the Dallas Morning News and Women's Wear Daily.

Mary Ellen completed her clinical aromatherapy training in October 2008, and was certified by the Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC) in 2009.

Mary Ellen incorporates her unique aromatherapy formulations into her practice of European-style reflexology and Reiki in North Dallas.  She also offers custom aromatherapy blends to address specific issues unique to each client, by request.

Her journey to deepen her knowledge about some of the most effective aromatherapy ingredients took her to Bavaria, Germany, where she participated in the harvest and distillation of essential oils directly from organic growers in June 2011.

Starting out with the original Emotional Support Formula, Dorey AromaTherapy has grown to encompass an extensive range of unique formulations created to address everything from aches and pains, chest congestion, acid reflux, and stressed adrenals, to aging skin, acne, rosacea, and dermatitis as well as many prodcuts to keep you thriving.

A Word about Quality...

Dorey AromaTherapy uses only the finest quality ingredients in all our products.  All essential oils used are first distillation or first pressing steam distilled oils.  They are pure and authentic coming directly from the growers (not remixed by brokers).  They are grown wild and minimally harvested or cultivated organically and processed quickly to insure maximum effectiveness.

All other components in our formulas are also as pure as well can get them.  Any oils used are from seeds (not nuts) and always cold pressed (never expeller pressed which produces heat and can alter the healing properties of the oil).  

Even our bottles and jars are selected with additional care.  All bottles used are pharmaceutical grade glass with phenolic caps.  Our jars are double walled to add an insulative property to further protect the contents.  Of course, all are recycleable.

Our "Message in a Bubble^®Bath Fizzies" are packaged in paper boxes with hardwood shred.
